My radio dial is usually tuned to: Sirius/XM. I'm hooked on Bruce Springsteen's station. For variety, I tune to Deep Tracks, blues, current stuff (so I'm not totally out of the loop) or news (CNN, NPR). Since my commute is excruciatingly long, I also listen to lectures on topics from the Teaching Company. Right now I'm learning about constitutional law.

The last concert I went to was: Eric Clapton with Stevie Winwood. I've seen Clapton before. The duo was pure pleasure. Saw Loggins and Messina in August. I wasn't planning on going, but the tickets were free,. I was pleasantly surprised with the second half of the show. There are some outstanding musicians on this tour.

The thing I hate most about first dates is: not having meet before! Ugh. I am more relaxed and myself if I approach new people as if they were already friends.

My favorite place to relax and be myself is: at the beach. I love this barrier beach across the bay from where I grew up. I walk everywhere. There's nothing in the way of the sky, sand and water. My idea of heaven on earth.

What kind of music makes you cringe? I do like more than rock 'n roll, though it's rock that gets my passion. I enjoy some classical music. I love classical guitar music, even Gregorian chants ( I think). International music, blends of different genres... Ok, the cringing part: cabaret, show tunes, rap (except Eminem in the movie "8 Mile"), disco, and - the polka!
